This is one day that Burly Sports must take a step back and say goodbye to one the most electrifying, young defensive talents of the modern era. R.I.P. Sean Taylor.
There have been a lot of great hard hitting safeties in the league, but none (since Ronnie Lott) have ever jumped out of the gates like Taylor did. He instantly became the best player on the Washington Redskins, and their fearless leader.
In honor of Sean Taylor I would like to send him off on the Burly Sports Blog by showing what I consider his most gruesome hits. Just a side note...this took place in the Pro Bowl.
Our best wishes go out to Sean's friends, fans, and family...
Memorials have been posted all over the web. Today is a day to remember this young talent's career and life.

The Blog Show XXIX
Well its the 29th edition of the Blog Show, but it's only the second one to air on Burly Sports. Hopefully all of you received the big news last week that Burly Sports would air the Blog Show and felt the need to come back for more. It was a great week in the blogosphere and I'd like to give a shutouts to my own personal favorites posts this week not mentioned in the show:
- I'm gonna have to start off with the two hosts of the Blog Show. The first link is to Jamie Mottram's Comeback of the Zubaz! The ultimate pants for the ultimate fans! - Mr. Irrelevant
- Dan Steinberg's Testudos Having a Bar-Mitzvah was an instant classic! As a Terp Alumni myself I have to give mad props to Dan for this investigative reporting. It's a story that only "a nice Jewish boy" (as my grandmother would say) from Maryland could come up with. - D.C. Sports Bog
- The Deuce on Davenport reminded me that the greatest athletes always have the biggest issues outside of sports with his latest post MJ Might Wanna Think About Another Comeback. Thanks again MJ! Jerry Rice is now the only childhood role model that I still have left, and he now dances for a living...barf! - Deuce of Davenport

NFL West is Garbage!!!
2 division leaders with a record of 4-4...The AFC West and the NFC West are simply pathetic. The Old Rich People nailed this one on the head, once again. Is anybody starting to get the feeling that the NFL is becoming more and more like the MLB, where only 2 teams matter? If you don't which teams I am referring to then you've never had Clam Chowder in you life...New England or Manhattan. I would like to make an indirect reference to the Colts and Pats as well, but nothing matters in Indy other than that "laser rocket arm"...
Anyways just enjoy the video! Thanks to WithLeather for the shout out!
