The Evidence is on Fire

We've just witnessed one of the greatest endings to NFL season in history only to be spoiled by another corrupt coach and commissioner. As it seems Bill Belicheat has been busted again for taping the Rams walk through before Superbowl XXXVI. What makes this even worse is that the evidence has supposedly been destroyed by the next great hope of the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Can you say cover-up? It just seems like whenever a great story in sports is going to take the entire sports experience to the next level, something like this occurs. At least we have the latest talent at Burly Sports Ryan Parker Songs to always scrape us off of the ground!

Just How Did Beckham Make Soccer Big in America?

Ummmm he didn't. Don't you remember? American soccer still sucks! The best part of this MLS season was seeing...scratch that...hearing about the New England Revolution losing in the finals for the fourth straight time. Buffalo Bills step aside, you are no longer the biggest losers in sports history. At least the Bills played a sport that mattered in this country. Regardless Beckham and Posh did bring some good old fashioned tabloid fun in the states, so I personally like to thank both of them for that. Enjoy this video and remember why soccer will never make it in the U.S.

Nick-at-Nite on Burly

I thought I'd run back a few episodes of the Burly Sports Show. There were actually 2 great episodes over Thanksgiving weekend that a whole bunch of you might have missed out on. So for the first time in the history of the Burly Sports blog we are actually going to show re-runs. I also threw in a bonus Blog Show for you, so don't forget to check out the second video.

Consider this the Nick-at-Night post...Nick Stevens that is. Cheesy I know, OK now carry on and watch the videos!

Burly Sports is not laughing today...

This is one day that Burly Sports must take a step back and say goodbye to one the most electrifying, young defensive talents of the modern era. R.I.P. Sean Taylor.

There have been a lot of great hard hitting safeties in the league, but none (since Ronnie Lott) have ever jumped out of the gates like Taylor did. He instantly became the best player on the Washington Redskins, and their fearless leader.

In honor of Sean Taylor I would like to send him off on the Burly Sports Blog by showing what I consider his most gruesome hits. Just a side note...this took place in the Pro Bowl.

Our best wishes go out to Sean's friends, fans, and family...
Memorials have been posted all over the web. Today is a day to remember this young talent's career and life.
